Restoring Scotland’s Natural Landscapes
Based in Inverness, ADLnature have been at the forefront of peatland restoration across Scotland since 2017. We’ve successfully restored 8,000+ hectares of peatland across more than 50 projects, all to Peatland ACTION standards. Our team has extensive experience working in sensitive and complex environments, including designated sites, drinking water catchments, and national parks.
We’re proud to have registered one of the first peatland sites under the IUCN Peatland Code, and since then have registered over 1.3 million carbon credits. We’ve also played a key role in pilot feasibility development with Peatland ACTION and continue to deliver both private and publicly funded feasibility studies across Scotland.
Our work extends beyond restoration. Using tools such as modern drone technology, improved wildlife monitoring, land management techniques, and environmental surveying, we’re bringing practical innovation into everyday operations. Data informed approaches help us understand sites more clearly, make better decisions, and continue to set new standards across the sector.

Orla and Anna had a busy week island-hoping to visit 5 schools across Lewis, Harris, North Uist, Benbecula and Barra.
Great to have the opportunity to engage with pupils across the schools, sharing our knowledge of peatland restoration, the importance of our peatlands and the range of career opportunities within the sector.

What a brilliant weekend at Belladrum! 🎪
A huge thank you to @mywowscotland and @rhet_highland for the opportunity to have a stand in the Highland Futures Zone at our local festival!
The engagement and enthusiasm from both kids and adults over all three days was fantastic. With well over 5,000 visitors, we spoke to so many people, from those who already knew a lot about peatland restoration to those who had no idea it even existed. It was brilliant to share the benefits of our peatlands with so many festival goers and help spread the word about this important work.
Our bog frogs and bog bug temporary tattoos were also a huge hit! 🐸🐛
