Restoring Scotland’s Natural Landscapes

ADLnature

Based in Inverness, ADLnature have been at the forefront of peatland restoration across Scotland since 2017. We’ve successfully restored 8,000+ hectares of peatland across more than 50 projects, all to Peatland ACTION standards. Our team has extensive experience working in sensitive and complex environments, including designated sites, drinking water catchments, and national parks. We’re proud to have registered one of the first peatland sites under the IUCN Peatland Code, and since then have registered over 1.3 million carbon credits. We’ve also played a key role in pilot feasibility development with Peatland ACTION and continue to deliver both private and publicly funded feasibility studies across Scotland. Our work extends beyond restoration, from cutting-edge drone technology to advanced wildlife monitoring, land management and environmental surveying, we’re using innovation and data-driven tools to set new standards in the sector.

We may have been a little quiet on here lately but behind the scenes we have been busy right across the board. Lots of exciting things happening at ADLnature 🌱🥾📈

First, a very warm welcome to our two newest team members, Freya and Charlie. Freya joins us as our PeatlandACTION funded intern and Charlie comes on board as an Environmental Consultant. Over the past couple of months the team have been getting Freya and Charlie up to speed, sharing knowledge and experience across the many and varied parts of their roles 🌟

There is more to come, so keep an eye out for updates from us over the next wee while 🪲

We are really looking forward to being part of the Highland Sustainable Development Summit tomorrow and Wednesday at the Kingsmills Hotel 📍

On Wednesday, Kirsty and Richard will be discussing why peatland restoration is such an essential part of our natural infrastructure and why it matters so much for climate and communities here in the Highlands 🌱

It’s a brilliant opportunity to highlight the work happening across the region and the collective effort needed to restore and protect these vital landscapes. Thanks to Highland CIC for the invitation and for shining a light on such an important topic 🌟

If you’re attending, come say hello 👋🏻
