Angus Davidson – Company Director
From Glenelg
Since founding Angus Davidson Ltd in 2008, Angus has supported rural communities across Scotland with expert guidance on land management and preservation and restoration initiatives. Angus led discussions with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to develop the UK’s first Peatland Code-validated restoration project. In recent years, he has focused on delivering peatland feasibility and restoration programmes.
As company director, Angus oversees the ADL team’s work and is responsible for delivering projects on time and on budget. Angus also works closely with our stakeholders, nurturing long-term relationships and advocating for Peatland Action for the benefit of rural communities.
“I was born and raised in Glenelg, Wester Ross. My forebears were Gamekeepers and Shepherds. A love of the outdoors is in my blood.”
Angus enjoys shinty, golf, fishing and football in his spare time.
John Dunnet – Operations Manager
From Gills Bay, Caithness
John coordinates the Angus Davidson Ltd team to ensure we rise to meet the challenge of restoring 250,000ha of degraded Scottish peatland by 2030. Collaborating with contractors, landowners, Peatland Action officers and Peatland Code validators, John is on hand to manage projects from design to aftercare. John’s skills in combining cutting-edge mapping technology with advanced photogrammetry have enabled us to deliver high-integrity restoration projects.
John joined Angus Davidson Ltd in 2018. He holds an MSc in Geoinformation Technology and Cartography and a BSc (Hons) in Geography.
Richard Breach – Technical Program Manager
From Black Isle, Ross & Cromarty
Richard spends much of his time out in the hills managing our sites, conducting drone surveys and undertaking peatland restoration feasibility work. His role also includes improving our workflows by making the most of the pioneering technology that’s becoming available.
With a passion for environmental sustainability and a love of the outdoors, Richard spends much of his spare time hillwalking and bouldering.
Before joining the team in 2021, Richard studied Geography, Society and Environment at Heriot-Watt University, graduating with a MA (Hons).
Colin Morrison – Senior Environmental Consultant
From Sangobeg, Sutherland
Colin conducts rigorous habitat surveys for agricultural applications and detailed land mapping for croft registration. Passionate about rural preservation, Colin provides our Highland crofting, farming and sporting estate communities with environmental management and peatland restoration support.
In his spare time, Colin enjoys spending time outdoors. “I have been a mountain biker for as long as I can remember, a motorcyclist for almost as long, and I’m a keen hillwalker. More recently, I have taken up paddleboarding, and I have aspirations to improve my (very poor) surfing skills.”
Colin joined our team in 2015 after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences from the University of the Highlands and Islands.
Kirsty Hedderwick – Senior Environmental Consultant
From Beauly
Since joining ADLnature in 2021 as a carbon capture and audit graduate through the Highlands and Islands Enterprise Graduate Support Programme, Kirsty brings nearly four years’ experience in fieldwork, feasibility studies and project management. She is passionate about the long term environmental and community benefits that come with restoring Scotland’s degraded peatlands.
Kirsty studied at the University of Stirling, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geography, having chosen this course to pursue her lifelong interest in the natural world.
Outside of work, Kirsty has a particular love for Scottish islands, playing shinty, running, hill walking, bird watching and learning to play the fiddle.
Jane Fuller – Compliance And Business Development Manager
From Brue, Isle of Lewis
Jane joined ADLnature in 2022 and brings over 15 years of management experience, with a strong background in operations, people leadership and business performance. She oversees compliance, people and culture, and business development, supporting business growth and effective day to day operations.
Originally from the Isle of Lewis, Jane has a strong understanding of rural and remote communities across the Highlands and Islands. She is currently undertaking further professional development through a Business Management degree at Robert Gordon University alongside her role.
Kay-Lisa Davidson – Director
From Whalsay
Kay-Lisa has supported Angus in the setup and growth of the family business since they founded Angus Davidson Ltd in 2008. While managing a very successful career in the care sector as a health visitor Kay-Lisa supported the business on a part-time basis for a number of years. As the business continues to expand, she has taken on a more active role supporting operationally.
In her spare time Kay-Lisa enjoys musical theatre, reading, walking and writing.
Niall Fuller – Projects Manager
From Inverness
Niall joins ADLnature with experience across construction, oil and gas, marine and facilities management environments, underpinned with a BSc (Hons) in Project Management from Heriot Watt University. With a background in inspection engineering and asset integrity, he specialises in on-site data capture, visual and thermographic inspections, and the management and QA of technical datasets.
At ADLnature, he contributes to the organisation’s growing focus on technology-driven environmental monitoring and data capture. Combining hands-on field expertise with structured digital workflows and data management, he supports the delivery of reliable environmental insights that help clients manage assets responsibly and sustainably.
Orla McAteer – Environmental Consultant
From Newcastle, N.Ireland
Orla joined the team at the beginning of 2025, having switched careers from teaching. She taught secondary geography and holds a PGCE from Liverpool Hope University and a BSc in Geography from Queen’s University Belfast.
Orla focuses on peatland feasibility and project management. She also plays a key role in educational outreach, travelling to schools across the Highlands to teach young people why peatlands are so important.
In her spare time, Orla loves getting outdoors to go running, climbing and bagging Munro’s across Scotland.
Jessie Mackintosh – Environmental Consultant
From Carrbridge
Jessie joined ADL in 2023 after completing her BSc (Hons) in Archaeology and Environmental
Studies at the University of the Highlands and Islands. She works with our peatland restoration team undertaking feasibility work and project management.
Jessie has a passion for trail running, mountain biking and the natural environment and enjoys poring over maps planning her next outdoor adventure.
Charlie Penney – Environmental Consultant
Originally from Chester, England
Charlie joined the team in late 2025 after relocating to Inverness from the West Midlands, where she previously delivered Animal Care and Management courses at a college and taught on-site at a safari park.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Zoology and an MSc in Wildlife Conservation and Drone Applications. At ADL Nature, she primarily supports peatland restoration work, carrying out feasibility assessments and assisting with project management.
A lover of animals, art, powerlifting, and the great outdoors, Charlie can often be found exploring the Highlands, training at the gym, or braving a cold-water dip. On a more typical Scottish weather day, she enjoys channeling her creative side through crafts and home DIY projects.
