Badan Seasgach

The Inverlael Estate sits above the southeast of Loch Broom, with scenic views looking across the west coast and up north. The estate sits partially within the Beinn Dearg SSSI & SPA, as well as being within the Wester Ross Biosphere Transition Area. The estate is located in an incredibly picturesque area, with notable munros such as that of Eididh Clach Geala and Meall nan Ceaphraichean being within the boundary of the estate.

Bordering the first phase of restoration, phase two included two areas connecting phase one, and restoration on the western side of Allt Badan Seasgach, totalling 95.7 ha. Views from the second phase are unparalleled, with An Teallach clearly visible, as well as views along Loch Broom up to Ullapool from the highest point of the site. The second site increased the area of restored habitat, increasing the reach of the positive impacts of restoration on the estate. The primary method of restoration on Badan Seasgach included the reprofiling of complex actively eroding hagg systems, and cell bunding flat bare areas, thus preventing the escape of carbon emissions on the Inverlael Estate.
