Ledgowan

Situated within Wester Ross, the Ledgowan Estate is home to several phases of peatland restoration, with future potential for more. The estate itself is covered by two separate Wild Land areas, the Coulin & Ledgowan Forest as well as the Central Highland Wild Area. In addition to this, the estate is within the Wester Ross Biosphere Transition Zone. From various locations on the estate stunning visuals are present, spanning up north and through the west coast down the Glens.

A total of 211 ha of restoration works on the Ledgowan Estate has been delivered to date, sitting atop the hills to the west of Achnasheen. These areas of restoration on the Ledgowan estate have started the journey to increased biodiversity and a large area of degraded peatland being returned to a healthy, more natural condition.
